And The Winner is...

The festivities are packed away in the attic to only be pulled out in a year's time. Everyone's back at work. 2015 seems to have kicked off with a dark and gloomy start. There doesn't seem like there's a lot to shout about, but FEAR NOT! The Award season is amongst us. The BAFTA noms have been announced, we're awaiting the announcement of the Oscar noms and we've just had the Golden Globes, it's a jubilant time to be in film. With Boyhood coming out with the heaviest pockets (Best Drama Motion Picture, Best Actress, Best Director), it was a night of tabloid surprises but fully deserved, and none more so than the recipient of Best Supporting Actor, JK Simmons for Whiplash (read our review next door). It was a pleasure to see this recognised and established ensemble actor finally being recognised for what is arguably the role of his career.
